The Children’s Nursing Team Service, or ACORNS, is a team of experienced Registered Children’s Nurses, called Outreach Nurses, who provide assessment and support for a child during an acute period of illness while they are recovering at home.
The role of the team is to provide support and expert advice to the team caring for you, on a wide range of cancer related issues, to ensure right tests, treatment, emotional support, information and advice are given whilst in hospital and once discharged.
