Anogenital warts are small, flesh-coloured growths that are found in a particular area, often around the anus (the hole in the bottom), the labia (the vaginal ‘lips’) and other parts of the genitals in girls, or the penis and scrotum in boys.
All emergency departments use a priority system where the most seriously ill patients are seen first. Patients may be directed somewhere else if the nurse thinks that their condition is not an emergency or the patient has certain symptoms which mean they need to be seen in a specialty area.
