The aim of the Enhanced Recovery Programme (ERP) is to get patients back to full health as quickly as possible after an operation.

Enhanced sedation is when a sedative (sedation medicine) is injected into the bloodstream through a drip to relax the patient.

The ERAS programme aims to support you in your cardiac surgery journey and empower you to take an active role in your care.
